Sally Pinhey is one of England's foremost botanical watercolour artists, with a flair for lively and detailed illustrations of flowers and fruits.
It is her love of the beauty of nature that shines out in all her work, and she instills this into her classes with intense and infectious energy.
The visual communication of pure art should be direct and immediate. Her work highlights the beauty of nature and she teaches this appreciation to her students, her perception and work is strikingly three-dimensional.
From her stone farmhouse in Dorset England, Sally captures the beauty of plants in their full glory and detail in her range of botanical watercolours, prints and greetings cards.

The East Dorset Brave Art Society Botanical Art Demonstration
26 May 2009
The East Dorset Brave Art Society (EDBAS) is delighted to host a botanical art demonstration by Sally Pinhey on Tuesday 26 May 2009 at St Dunstan Hall, Upton, Poole, Dorset. Sally will be using a digital microscope system to highlight her botanical techniques to the audience. This novel demonstrating technique has proved an excellent way to focus in on the fine detail pursued in botanical art. The demonstration will run from 6:30 pm to 9 pm and is open to all. See forthcoming demonstrations on www.edbas.wordpress.com for more details.
